Dockyard and Engineering Works Limited (DEW Ltd) is the oldest shipyard in Bangladesh and the Indian Subcontinent, originally established in 1926. Located on the banks of the Shitalakshya River in Narayanganj, it is a state-owned entity under the Ministry of Defence, currently managed and operated by the Bangladesh Navy.
