Bangladesh Shipping Corporation (BSC) is a state-owned, autonomous public sector corporation that serves as the national flagship carrier of Bangladesh. Established on February 5, 1972, by order of Sheikh Mujibur Rahman, BSC manages ocean-going vessels, oil tankers, and bulk carriers to facilitate the country's international trade. It plays a critical role in importing crude oil and exporting ready-made garments.
